This diamond shaped array of real UK 5p coins dated 2011 or 2012, was designed as part of the "Balancing the Forces of Nature" project of Ciencias y Artes Patagonia (www.capat.org) a voluntary organization supported by the Magic Penny Trust (www.magicpenny.org).

It is named, as such, as an expression of thanks to Professor Sir Arnold Wolfendale, FRS, the 14th UK Astronomer Royal, for his support of the Trust since 1995.

No glues are used. The only magnets present are those situated above the coins.
The video is published to:
a) demonstrate in a very simple, accessible and safe way, the power and properties of magnetic fields and how force fields of any type, including gravity, can interact.
b) as part of a Campaign to persuade the UK Royal Mint to seriously consider making packs of the UK magnetic 1p, 2p, 5p and 10p available for all ages and experiences internationally,
The Royal Mint makes coins available for collectors and investors: why not too in the interest of science? Such demonstrations would then be easily accessible also, to those in the US and other countries, presently without magnetic coins? (see www.MagneticCoins.info and Facebook: Magnetic Coins.) for more images and videos.
