Carol Sanford, consultant to companies like DuPont, Colgate Europe, Intel, and Seventh Generation, knows from experience that adopting responsibility as a goal is not easy, but it also cannot be done as a department or set of best practice initiatives. IThe Responsible Business is a systemic approach that is embeds responsibility in the way of doing business- everyday.

In this video, Sanford supplies businesses with specific ideas of ways that they can go beyond just "programs" or "doing less harm" initiatives. They also can begin measuring effects (what are the really creating) instead of more efforts (what are they spending time and money on). In doing so, she suggests that businesses will not only be more responsible, they will also be more innovative and top line profitable.

In her new book, THE RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS, Sanford provides a system-wide strategy for businesses that allows them to customize their approach, making sure it serves not only the earth and its resources, but that also reflects the values of its employees, customers and the community at large.
