The common house spider Parasteatoda tepidariorum (formerly known as Achaearanea tepidariorum; "Ohimegumo" in Japanese) has emerged as an excellent model to study mechanisms of development and evolutionary processes of animal diversification. This video shows how to obtain hundreds of eggs in laboratory for research or education use.
