Odd "Pajama Boy" Obamacare Ad - Featuring "Pajamaboy" and "Get Ready To Have The Talk"

This is the now famous Obamacare TV Ad starring Ethan Krupp, "Get Ready To Have The Talk". To put the ad in historical context, we added in President Obama's famous "Pajamaboy" tweet. Poor Ethan has been dubbed "pajama boy" because of the tweet by President Obama featuring Krupp in onsie pajamas, sipping a cup of hot chocolate or cocoa. Ethan is an employee of Organizing For America, President Obama's campaign organization. They of course are promoting Obamacare to young people in any way they can think of. This was one attempt that became famous, perhaps more for the goofy photo of Mr. Krupp in his PJs.

In the TV ad, Ethan's parents call him on his cell phone, which he answers in his car. They invite him over for dinner, to have a talk. The rest of the ad is about his awkward imaginations of what they possibly could want to discuss. Of course, when he finally gets there for dinner, they want to talk about Obamacare. Critics have argued that the ad is not very effective, and Mr. Krupp comes across as too pampered to relate to most people's concerns. Supporters have argued that the publicity, whether negative or positive, has raised the profile of Obamacare issues. What do you think?
