In this video, I show you how being able to change techniques can save a slow day of fishing. After I struck out going after big redfish with cut bait, I switched tactics and targeted speckled trout. I tied on a D.O.A. C.A.L. on a 1/8 oz jig head and started fishing off the shore of a tiny island during low tide. After catching a nice trout, I got back into my kayak and started fishing grass flats and docks to catch more fish on the rising tide.
