The sound of Jointed Track 8. Behind 47802 via Berney Arms, 4th July 2009.
This video is audio only.

Following from video #7, this video is almost a non-stop recording of the entirety of jointed track on the return from Great Yarmouth back to Norwich, once again with an exception to a few parts which were cut out due to the "clickety-clack" sound being too low to hear beween Reedham and Norwich as well as the video being over the YouTube 10 minute limit. The section between Yarmouth and Reedham was recorded without stopping the recording until the jointed track ended, this being the best section to hear the jointed track. The recording obviously isn't the entire journey as not all of the line is jointed track.

Jointed track is becoming ever rarer in the UK, especially when you are hearing it from on board a loco hauled train consisting of Mk3s like I was here. I feel that the sound of trains rattling over jointed track is a often overlooked perk to rail enthusiast and even the general public, it's about time it got some recognition for what it practically is; a genre of music.

Please leave some feedback on what you think. Cheers.
