Alejandro Escovedo's "Everybody Loves Me" supplies the soundtrack for a dizzying 2002 trip around the world as one one-legged man competes against some of the world's greatest athletes with disabilities. Starting with wheelchair football, tennis and softball, the film ends in Egypt in the fall of 2002 for the World Championships of Sitting Volleyball. The adaptive sports featured in the film are exciting to watch and growing fast, thanks to this crazy violent time we live in. The Paralympic movement is alive and well as survivors of war, accidents and life are able to compete and enjoy life through sports. Watch clips from the first Cubs championship in over 90 years (in wheelchair softball.)
Big thanks to George W. Bush for giving so many around the world the opportunity to compete in these exciting and sometimes extreme activities.
