This short video gives a visual portrayal of the final flight of Canadian pilot 2Lt. Paul Hartley Raney, who was shot down on 21 August 1917 near Roeselare, Belgium by Lt. Rudolf Francke (of Jasta 8). He was 24.

Also shot down that day was William R. Keast.

This video is to commemorate the lives and service of both of these pilots.

The flight footage was generated by myself flying in 777 Studio's computer game "Rise of Flight" - the best World War I combat flight simulator in the world today. Free to play, also. Give it a try.

The music is "Adagio for Organ and Strings" by Remo Giazotto (deceased) - also often mis-attributed (for obvious reasons) to Tomaso Albinoni
