Each installment of Ben's Tours takes you on a visit to a special place. This time join me as we visit the US Army Museum of Hawaii at Fort Derussy Beach Park. The Museum tells the military history of Hawai'i from ancient times through the Vietnam War through displays and artifacts. The museum is housed in Battery Randolph, a massive reinforced concrete emplacement with roofs as much as 12 feet thick built in 1911 as part of a coastal defense system to protect Honolulu Harbor from invasion. Music is "Marching Home" by Balsam Range.
