Rattin of Argentina is sent off by the German referee in the 1966 World Cup Quarter Final because the referee "didn't like the way he looked at me". Geoff Hurst went on to score the winning goal which saw England go through (0-1) and eventually win the World Cup. In Agentina, this is referred to as "el robo del siglo" - "the steal of the century". Much of the bad blood between the two footballing nation stems from this match.
