The AK Bump Safe was designed by Ethan Dublin at Dublin AK Systems. It allows the operator a better means of using the safety on a Kalashnikov. This model is a prototype and manufacturing will begin late summer early fall of 2011. Questions: dublinak@live.com

Good idea but can you hold the pistol grip as normal with it on safe? Looks like you have to change your grip the put it on safe.

looks like a good idea but I think it could be a little more LH shooter friendly.

@KaletheQuick Sir, We have a prototype like that. It looks promising. Thanks for watching.
Make the safety return to the "on" position with a spring, market it as a grip safety. PROFIT!

@kpkorean88 Sir, We have had no trouble with heat. It stays cooler due to the better circulation in the gas tube.
Doesn't the charging handle get extremely hot after rapid fire? Cool design though.
