Dominic Peckham led his ‘Circlesongs’ workshop with GIS community and the public in conjunction with the Wellbeing Conference 2017.Everyone stood together and took the risk of singing together. The evening transported the participants to Sweden, as they sang a Swedish folk song, and then to the American deep south and then the American mid-west. The inevitable ‘mash-up’ took place where the songs from different places and genres were put together. We had solos, choruses, children swirling around the room creating a ‘rain drop’ effect. It was a powerful wellbeing session! Dominic’s key message was simple: singing is universal to cultures and across perceived divides.
