Early development video!
ReEntry is a space simulator that puts you in control of the space ship. I developed a custom double precision physics engine and a keplerian solver for accurate orbital mechanics. I also modelled a Virtual Cockpit from the Project Mercury capsule, where each gauge is physically modelled. I have also tried to model the flight mechanics of the capsule.
This video shows the entire Mercury-Redstone 3 mission. Almost every switch, light, gauge and handle is functional and operates the way it did for real.

FAQ Response:
I have created both LVs, and the Atlas 6 mission working as well as the one I recorded above in Historic mode. I'm not a 3d artist but when I created these, I followed the details in the official Operations manual and flight manuals for the give spacecraft, and real pictures. I will not create all the Mercury capsules (the first one had a round window on the sides and not in the front), so I created a generic one that got all the systems that was used. Almost all of the systems are working as documented, and can be used with the real checklists and flight paths. The goal of this game is space flight and orbiting, using real spaceships - but not every variation of each space program will be modelled.
When it comes to the flight in the video, looking at my debug data, the height is accurate to +- 1km (Ap), as well as timing including atmospheric drag and everything. As you can see, not everything is 100% timed with the voice, and the reason is that I didn't time this flight to the voice - the spacecraft is doing this based on the configuration of the ASCS (autopilot) and 1000 of other factors and calculations, all based on how you fly. All controls are functional, even all the fuses has been implemented and are working. Gauges are using physics like pressure in tanks, electronics like batteries that create DC power, and AC power by the use of Inverters. You can use switches to configure that batteries are in operation in case of failures ++++.
The game will have 3 modes. One is ARCADE, where you don't have access to the Virtual Cockpit, you just fly the rocket and complete missions. Pro mode is what you see in the video but without the real audio communication, you fly the spaceship as the real thing, doing fictional missions. In historic mode, I'm mimicking the real mission with real audio, and your job is to try to make it as accurate as possible - this is what I'm doing in the video.
