Founded in Athens, Georgia, in 1987, Magnapop was on the wave of alternative rock bands of the early 1990s, released three albums and was modestly popular until bankruptcy of their record label prohibited founding members Linda Hopper (vocals) and Ruthie Morris (guitar/vocals) to use the band name for several years. Since their return in 2005, they have released two more albums and gone back on the road.

On May 15, 2010, they played their first Dutch show in years at the Muziekgieterij venue in Maastricht. This show, as you will see going through the videos in the correct order, started as a good rock performance and turned into a nostalgic party for the fans who already knew Magnapop back in 1994.

I randomly recorded some songs in addition to some old singles I already knew but most of them turned out to be from 1994. Listen to Magnapop's latest album Chase Park to hear more of their recent work. Check out my channel for a lot more of these high-quality live music recordings.
