Singer Wendy Lands chats about her music and performs at The Jazz Room in Uptown Waterloo, May 9, 2012.

In addition to showcasing her current album, Mumble, Lands treats fans to three haunting songs from The Music of The Pianist Wladslaw Szpilman, her previous album, a companion CD to the Oscar-winning movie The Pianist. Lands also performs several new original songs, including the encore, Pray For Rain.

Lands is accompanied by Don Breithaupt (piano), Peter Telford (upright bass), Peter Mueller (guitar), and her husband, Jim Gillard (drums, flugelhorn), who treats the audience to a percussion-less version of My Romance.
