Cameron Park Zoo is currently introducing our newest North American River Otter, Gulliver, to the other resident otters, Jack and Doris-Minnow. Gulliver is a rescue animal that was brought to the zoo by Texas Parks and Wildlife representatives in late Fall of this past year. After completing a month long stint in the Zoo's quarantine facility, he was moved to the otter building in the Brazos River Country to be acclimated to his new habitat. He is now very comfortable in his new home. He and Jack have been introduced and are getting to know one another with Zookeeper supervision in the night house. Soon he and Jack will be rotating exhibit time with Jack and Doris-Minnow. Eventually, when they are all comfortable with each other, all three will be together in the otter exhibit. Gulliver is very young and playful, and he sometimes has to be chastised by older and wiser Jack.
