Thousands of University of Victoria students got together today for a homework assignment that you will soon be able to find online.
It's a giant music video and an attempt to one-up another UVIC halfway across the world.
More than two thousand people were expected on campus today to lip synch along to Michael Buble's "Haven't Met You Yet" and 80's heartthrob Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up."

First a little background for you. A school in Spain, the University of Vic which also goes by UVIC did the same thing in may posted their creation to youtube and it went viral now being viewed close to 800-thousand times.

Many people, including celebrity blogger Perez Hilton mistakenly thought the video was made by UVIC students here on the island.

Today "our" UVIC-ers shot their "lipdub" video as its known in response to their Spanish counterparts with the help of Aclara Promotions.
