Silent film shot on Super 8mm. Road trip in 1975 from Monrovia to Bomi Hills in a Ford Cortina - thanks to the endless patience and good humour of my driver, James Akoi (his country name was Waywoh). Bomi Hills is in the west of Liberia, and was the location of iron ore mining. A couple of brief scenes in the second half of the film provide a tiny glimpse of the deforestation and pollution caused by large scale mining and the uncontrolled disposal of tailings.
