Ecuadorian President Lenin Moreno, Peruvian President Martin Vizcarra, Colombian President Ivan Duque, Bolivian President Evo Morales, Brazilian Foreign Minister Ernesto Araujo and Suriname Vice President Michael Ashwin hold a meeting in Leticia, Colombia, on Friday, September 6, to advance the coordination of actions for the conservation and preservation of the Amazon.
According to Colombian Foreign Minister, the Amazonian countries are expected to sign a pact of conservation of the Amazon region that will include an itinerary of activities where other nations of the region and international community will participate.
Brazilian President Jail Bolsonaro will participate via video conference as he is not able to attend the meeting due to a surgery.
