So yesterday, reports started swirling that there was some drama on the set of The X-Factor.
TMZ reported that new judge Britney Spears stormed off the set after hearing a contestant do their rendition of her popular song, "Hold It Against Me— " which then caused the 4 following contestant to audition in front of only the other 3 judges, and Britney's empty seat.
Well, Britney heard about it and immediately hopped on Twitter to set the record straight, saying, "Was just taking a little break people. I am having the BEST time!!!"
E! Online's Marc Malkin was actually in Austin, Texas for the first round of auditions, and he reports that Britney was a fantastic judge—she provided lots of positive commentary and chose to be nicer rather than meaner.
She even told one teenage boy that she thinks he could be bigger than Justin Bieber!
Her harshest critique of the day? "I feel like you need a new teacher to teach you how to sing."
As for Demi Lovato, she was definitely more relaxed than Britney, and bantered playfully with Simon—even referring to him as "Grandpa" at one point. She also flirted with some contestants, and told one Southern gentleman, "I love a country boy!"
So let me know if you guys think this new panel will be entertaining to watch— and if you think Britney and Demi have what it takes to be good, constructive judges?
