In order to determine Cadence of your feet/foot you will need to get a pod for your trainer. For 3hour 30 min marathon running the ideal cadence is 90, that is your foot hits the ground 90 times a minute and therefore giving 180 steps. Literature shows that by increasing the cadence you have less impact on the body. Previously I used the Polar Pod for the same reasons. The GPS 610 Forerunner has Satellite and therefore calibrating the pod is not necessary to measure distance.
