First, I filmed Jade (V.prasinus) a few days ago, she appeared to be gravid. Second, I filmed her eggs which I didn't find in time:( I came home today to find Emeril (male V.prasinus) with an egg in his mouth. I wigged out and immeadiately removed him from the cage. He dropped the egg on the floor where I filmed it. I then searched the nest box and found Jade's second egg buried in the moss but dented. She laid it in the driest part of the moss! One side is very damp and the other dry so she could pick whatever spot she thought was best. I will be keeping it all damp from now on. I put the egg in the incubator anyways just in case it's not too late but I fear it is. She must have laid her eggs Friday because I last checked her box Thursday. I should have been checking everyday but I've been distracted with college & being a mom. I'm very upset with myself for not checking it everyday:( She will lay a few more clutches this year so I'll have more chances to incubate eggs again:) The good news is that her eggs looked good. They were both big, bright white and fully calcified:)
