Marty joined the Marines when he was just 18. After being injured in Iraq, he turned to drinking and pills for pain. Now a veteran with multiple overseas deployments, he sometimes has dreams of his own guys screaming. He got help after he realized that there's no reason to just stop living. His family and his outreach work with other veterans now gives him a purpose, and he says, "Don't give up on yourself."
