I am often asked for ways to increase core strength. Boat is a pose that works to strengthen the deepest layer of abdominal muscles. In this video, I demonstrate various levels of boat. Make sure to choose the one that feels right for your body to avoid injury or unnecessary strain. As you continue to gain core strength you can practice holding boat for longer and begin increasing the number of repetitions. Make sure to breathe throughout this exercise as holding your breath will make this exercise more difficult.
