In today's job market, we’re told to follow the rules. Staying at a job for 30 years was the “responsible” thing to do. But, times have changed, and taking big risks can result in great career rewards.

Angela Copeland is a Career Coach and CEO at her firm, Copeland Coaching. She is host of the Copeland Coaching Podcast, columnist for the Career Corner newspaper column, and author of career book Breaking The Rules & Getting The Job. Previously, Angela served as Vice President of Digital and eCommerce at First Tennessee Bank, Director of Digital Marketing and Strategy at ServiceMaster, and Director of Internet Marketing at the Memphis CVB. She was also part of the IT team at FedEx, and the engineering teams at Westinghouse Electric Company and General Motors. Angela earned a MBA from Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA and a Bachelor of Science in Computer and Systems Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY. In 2011, Angela was selected by the Memphis Business Journal as a Top 40 Under 40. She grew up tall outside of Oklahoma City, where she’s a sixth generation Oklahoman.
