Gorgeous dark atmospheric instrumental by Belgian musician/artist Eric Vandamme from 'Me Is' K7. I'd somehow overlooked this minimal synth gem until introduced to it recently by Sean McBride (Martial Canterel, Xeno & Oaklander). On first hearing I thought it sounded like some of my demo material from the mid-late 80s and I was surprised to find it was a few years earlier.
This doom-laden opening cut just oozes class, especially the delicious low bass harmonic on the last two notes of the main four-note melody, and the ticking percussion. Addictive stuff, I play it all the time. From EZ's blog it seems he's been preparing a cd release of tracks from 'Me Is' and his later, impossible-to-find K7 'Cicatrice', although it looks like it should have appeared by now - I hope it's soon because I want it: http://enzokreft.blogspot.com/
