According to Euromonitor International data, the US is one of the most unequal countries in the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development. Miami and Houston, the country’s leading cities, were the 17th and 18th most unequal cities in the US in 2016. In both cities, the share of the disposable incomes earned by the richest 10% of households was 3.5 times that of the poorest 40%. It's been suggested that President Trump's economic policies could potentially exacerbate income inequality further in the US.
