Katy Carr and the Aviators support virtuoso guitarist Antonio Forcione at the launch of a series of Songlines Magazine events at the Royal Albert Hall.

Highlights include Antonio Forcione improvising Katy's song 'Wojtek', and Katy gets to play on none other than Elton John's famous red piano!

Katy was nominated for best artist at the Songlines Music Awards 2013 for her album 'Paszport', and featured in 'A Postcard from Poland' in Songlines magazine.

Katy chats to Simon Broughton (Editor-in-Chief of Songlines magazine) about Katy's storytelling within her songs and how they honour Poland's contribution to Britain, the strong visual nature of her shows, her musical arrangements, and the revival of Polish traditional music. Katy also chats to Paul Geoghegan, the Publisher of Songlines magazine.

Katy Carr performs with her group The Aviators: Paul Tkachenko on tuba, George Simmonds on trombone, David Insua-Cao on percussion, Sam Slater on guitar, Orpheus Papafilippou on violin, and Hannah Lovell on visuals.
