Miles Davis Decoy 1983
A decoy was originally a small pond with a long wickerwork tunnel, used to catch wild ducks The word came from Dutch eende(n)kooi = "duck cage".This piece of music reminds me of the many ducks and duck-decoys we had in the neighbourhood (although it might have had a different meaning to Mr. Davis,I don't know). We still use expressions from this duck- and goosehunting in daily life, even many Dutch people may not know where these expressions come from.To me a decoy is a kind of landscape-art... In Amsterdam The Netherlands, is an apartment complex, named after Miles:"Miles Building"
