In Alexandra township North of Johannesburg, babies, the homeless and the old are being bitten by rats in their sleep. Pollution and hygene are the root causes that could lead to an outbreak of the bubonic plague. Hillside Digital and Siyakhona Alexandra, with the buy-in of the community investigated the rat pandemic in Alexandra in order to find a solution. Hillside Digital has screened the film throughout the township to mobilise residents to take part in a massive clean up campaign to rid Alexandra of the root cause which is pollution. Siyakhona is a project that trains young people from disadvantaged communities to be video journalists. It is part of Sony's collaboration with FIFA on corporate social responsibility and is implemented through Football for Hope, the movement led by FIFA and Streetfootballworld.
