Back to being a nursery. =) I know, I know, I talk a lot, telling you all about it, mute it if you don't like it. ^_~

Anyways, these babies were born just the other day, two days ago. Mom was a white MM Swordtail with some orange on her belly and side. I believe dad was also a white MM, but you never know when you buy pregnant fish. She's -muuuuuch- larger than the male I bought with her, she's an adult and he is not(yes I know females are larger than the males, he's just a kid though), so I am hoping they're not related, that's always a bummer. Inbreeding...I had purchased a pregnant black lyretail molly and a male with her, she gave birth to about twenty fry who slowly died off over the week. Very unfortunate, most of them had kinked backs or crooked tails. =(

So, my newest kids. I also showed off three of my other tanks. I can't wait for it to warm up, I really need to lose some of those older babies! Taking care of the tank is quite back breaking even with a second filter, I do about 10% changes daily with my weekly 30%. x.x Keeps the stats stable so I don't get any spikes and the water stays clean...I have an algae bloom in just about all of my tanks, my grandpa was recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer, so the lighting schedule was something like 15 hours a day for about a week, and that's what happens(I said I don't know what caused it, initially I wasn't going to give those details about my pa, but that is what I think happened, I did my weekly maintenance after too much light and BOOM, stirred it up when I moved a plant from one tank to the other, and a couple tall ones to the twenty). and the fish from getting sick, but what I really need is another large tank, which I hope to have by the end of the year so I don't get so over-stocked in the winter this time. LOL
