The Sixth Street Lofts
Lift: Detroit is being held at The Sixth Street Lofts, located in Detroit's oldest neighborhood, Corktown. During the 19th Century the southwestern region symbolized opportunity for many immigrants. Today it has revitalized into an environment where Detroiters live, play and create. The Michigan Central Station's beaux-arts classical architecture rests as the backdrop for new innovative enterprises and living space for young professionals. Lift: Detroit will create space for young talent to discuss critical issues in the city and learn new ways to contribute to the advancement of the community. With organizations like Greening of Detroit and projects like Greenways Detroit taking place in Corktown, it only makes sense that Lift: Detroit, 1st Annual Black Tie Gala for Socially Responsible Companies and Young Professionals Contributing to Change takes place here.
