LEARNigeria is one of the most important and exciting developments in the Nigerian Education sector in decades. It is a Citizen-Led Household Assessment of the literacy and numeracy competencies of children aged 5 to 15.
LEARNigeria represents the first nationwide effort to conduct household assessments of school-age children, and is led by trained volunteers in the communities. This will provide relevant data to the local communities and authorities, so that interventions that make a difference in children's learning can be early, targeted and participatory.
LEARNigeria is coordinated by TEP Centre which is a member of the global citizen-led assessment movement called PAL Network.
