Preserved Gresley A4 Pacific no 4464 "Bittern" pulls The Cathedrals Express steam excursion from Lewes to Oxford on 5th July 2012.
Bittern was a last minute replacement for 60163 "Tornado", after problems were detected on her the day before.
The train is seen hurrying through Twyford Station in Berkshire, a few minutes behind schedule at 1.15pm, and as can be seen, the signallers had swapped the preceding stopper onto the next track to allow Bittern through - thus ruining the view of the train for the poor photographers in the station carpark! I sometimes go there and today I'm glad I didn't!!
