I look through the glass And it startled me The most beautiful sight that I ever did see A man was looking around for vacancy
He walked down my way I noticed the time I saw it was Midnight in December He's going to be mine
He came up to my door and knocked And knocked the wind out of me Then he said "do you have a bed I need a place to rest my head"
So I let him in To more than my room Even though it's Midnight in December My heart feels like its June
I spent the night inside his arms The world could do me no harm When I open my eyes I see No man in bed to comfort me
My mind should have known That right from the start That at Midnight in December He'd go and break my heart
