The woosh sound effect from Worldvision Home Video was a complete rip off of the stage music from "The Great Giana Sisters" for the Commodore 64.

The ARP Odyssey was the first non-monophonic synth out there, but it was only a duo-synth and not a polysynth. It is said the Viacom "V of Doom" logo theme music was composed on that synth. Also, the main body of the Worldvision Home Video music was used in both the Crown Movie Classics and Media West logos, but in the case of those two, the jingle is in a higher key and also has no opening WHOOSH.

This didn't scare me, although I've surprised with the "whoosh" sound.

Definitely more of a white collar, suburban thing, but not so much the pretty parks and trees thing. Yeah, I think I know the vibe Worldvision was after-pleasant, businesslike, and slightly techy/electronic sounding...
