After completing the second half of the haute route starting midway from Arolla to Zermatt, we were faced with an expensive cab ride back to Arolla, or a very expensive Air Zurich ride to the top of Pigne d'Arolla. We chose the latter and the 1800m vertical descent to Arolla in perfect conditions was totally worth it. Thanks to our awesome guide Mark Seaton ! The first half of our haute route trip was sabotaged by heavy snowfalls, but at least we reaped the benefits of that snow on that descent,
