Whenever you have to treat a big cat, it is a risk. Sometimes they can react poorly to being put under for simple procedures. And don't forget the fact that you are working around a very dangerous animal. We had the chance to neuter Saber the black leopard. And we also took this opportunity to give him a check up, weigh him, and move him to another enclosure back on the tour path were he likes to look at the silly people. Follow along as Dr. Liz and Scott make it all look so easy. (Go knock the cat out, neuter him, weigh him, give him a reversal, and you're all done.) Big Cat Rescue is an animal sanctuary and we do not breed out cats. We spay and neuter our animals just as you should with your own pets. *some surgery scenes may be graphic for some viewers*
