My entry for the Hunger Games Badass competition highlighting what I think is the most badass part of the book: (SPOILERS!) Katniss' decision to threaten the Capitol (and spark rebellion) by eating the berries.

MUSIC: Me hitting a metal barrel and birdsong I recorded.

NARRATION (written by me, which I forgot to put in the credits):

My name is Katniss Everdeen. I'm a Tribute from District 12. I am a hunter.

A wounded animal will always try to convince itself that it's fine, but there are signs.

Isolation. A growl louder than its bite. They get sloppy.

And I see it in their eyes: Fear. That's when my arrows find them. Sometimes out of mercy. Othertimes out of necessity.

You see, the Capitol's no different. They tried to hide their weakness with our blood.

Even as prey, I could smell their fear.

But there's only so long you can corner a hunter before she changes the game.

The Capitol is a wounded animal. Time to aim at their heart. This is no mercy killing.

My name is Katniss Everdeen. I am a Victor of District 12.
