It sounds like a rock solid plan. Josh and Matt will rollerblade the length of New Zealand, film their adventure, meet interesting characters and make an inspirational travel TV series. There’s just a few small problems: winter is fast approaching, they are severely underprepared, and they are terrible at rollerblading.

And so unfolds a tale of friendship, hard times and adventure, as Josh and Matt find themselves in way over their heads.

In this episode Josh and Matt do some diving at the Poor Knights Islands, and Josh discovers his diving skills aren’t quite as flash as he had hoped.

Next, they make their way to Waiheke Island, and then down to the Coromandel Peninsula. Here they check out the iconic Hot Water Beach for some bathing in the natural hot springs, and attempt to tackle the famous Cathedral Cove walk, where it quickly becomes obvious the terrain isn’t exactly ideal for rollerblades.

Lastly, the boys make their way across to the Hauraki Plains where they soon find themselves in a bit of trouble with no place to sleep.

In this episode we visit the Marlborough Sounds, Nelson, Golden Bay and Kaikoura.
