The 2010 "Forgotten Voices" Conference was held at the University of Toronto Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) from October 1-3, 2010. This was the first ever conference to unite survivors, scholars, educators, historians and activists to share and learn from the living history of war crimes committed in Asia during WWII.
Was held in Central Commerce Collegiate Institute in Toronto, Canada on September 28, 2010 and hosted 225 students and teachers from 8 schools across the Toronto District School Board. The day included a presentation by Grandma Gil, Won Ok, a Korean "Comfort Woman" survivor living at the House of Sharing in Korea, and workshops on topics such as human rights and artistic reconciliation.
