A Street Fighter II phantom throw compilation by me.
It contains rare footage of a famous and fabled Street Fighter II glitch: The Phantom throw.
Be on the lookout for other Street Fighter II glitch videos from me.
It's short and sweet, enjoy !
About the moves:
most moves rely on doing a standard player move with a joystick, but pressing two buttons instead instead of one.
the trick is to press one button slightly before the other.
early versions of street fighter 2 had this exploit.
this overloads the character control buffer and puts it to another position in the characters sprite/move map.
It's called move cancelling, sprite cancelling, or button cancelling.
a phantom throw is a sonic boom, but with fierce and roundhouse a little early.
handcuffs is a throw into a sonic kick, using strong and forward, with strong occurring early.
you can reset the game the same way as handcuffs, but with fierce and round house.
the only way out of handcuffs is the phantom throw ;)
glad you liked the vid (:, have fun practicing these as they require a lot of timing.
