When you connect Orion Studio to your computer via Thunderbolt™ or USB make sure you are also connected to the Internet so you can download the device driver and the software control panel. That's all located here: http://antelopeaudio.com/products/ori... and it's crucial to get it so your interface can fully communicate with your computer.
Installing the driver is as simple as double clicking on the app and following the instructions provided. When the driver is installed you have to disconnect the Orion Studio or restart your computer. When you launch the app an activation screen will pop up. After you enter the required information and click continue you'll get an email with an activation link. If that hasn't arrived right away check out your Spam / Junk folders. Once you follow it you'll be asked to Sign In with your Antelope Audio account.
Upon launch, the OS X and Windows compatible software panel will automatically check for new firmware updates. Those are recommended. After a new firmware is installed restart your device by unplugging and plugging its DC power cable.
Next step is to open your DAW and select Orion Studio as an input and output device. To listen to the main outputs go to the Routing tab in the software panel and depending on how you're connected to the interface, drag and drop USB Play 1&2 or TB Play 1&2 to the Monitor outs 1&2. Now load and play some tracks in your DAW, open the Meters tab and check if there's signal coming from your TB or USB Play and out to the Monitors.
