For those of you that know me, you know that I am VERY capable of being 15 again and getting lost into the world of RPG's (role playing games). The game of choice is currently the Elder Scrolls Online, and it rocks. After stopping by their website and seeing the fan creations portion, I came upon a couple of musical tracks created by game fans (just like me), that inspired me to dust off my Pro Tools software and compose again. I'm hoping that ESO just might enjoy sharing my composition, as their game has been a total blast to play!

That said, the 2 minute and 58 second piece I wrote follows the story line I played out in my head (inspired by actual gameplay, but with a Byron twist), and this is the imagined storyline to what you're about to hear...

Picture... Two adventurers finally discovering the ancient ruins that contain within it, a legendary artifact. Upon entering quietly, the dark abandoned tomb, they light their torches to reveal a massive cavern of ancient kings laid to rest, and in the center, upon an alter, lay the glowing prismatic blade they seek. Upon making their way down to the alter, they bask in the reverence and awe of the blade and it's resting place... but upon removing it from where it's been for centuries, the ward protecting the cavern is dispelled and the ground begins to shake. As the walls start to crumble, they rush frantically for the entrance, barely making it out in time. After catching their breath, realizing their success, they smile as the blade glows bright, as if with renewed purpose.

I put this together over the weekend (many thanks to soundbible.com for their free sound fx samples) and though I like what I've done so far, I'm interested in finding a couple people for voiceovers, to bring the audio even more to life! The characters/script I have in mind could be a lot of fun, and who knows, maybe it could turn into a fun little series (I have no composition projects, so heck, why not!)

Hope you enjoy the piece!
