Let me quote a statement from Tranformers, "There is more than meets the eye."

Don't always believe what you see. What you see may not be reality. There are deeper realities than what our eyes can see, there is more than meets the eye. And the Bible tells us that often faith-living is the opposite of sightseeing. What we see is often contrary to what we are to believe. After all, that's what Paul says in 2nd Corinthians 5, we walk by faith and not by sight.

I'm going to start a new book in my devotional sharing and it's Deuteronomy, and in Deuteronomy 1 and verses 27 to 29, I see that the people of Israel believed what they saw. They dare not enter the promised land. Why? Because they saw giants, they saw obstacles, they saw impossibilities and they believed what they saw, they believed their eyes. And therefore they concluded in verse 27 - that because of all these things they saw - God hated them.

Just think about it. How dangerous it is to live by sight alone? Does it mean that if there are sicknesses in your life, if there are deaths even around you, or if you have lost your job, or you have discouragements in life, that God has hated you? Hey, what about the cross? Where He love you while you were yet a sinner. What about Romans 8 and how the Bible tells us that nothing shall separate us from the love of God? What about those passages where the Bible says He loves us with an everlasting love? What about those words? Well Israel believed what they saw, they walked by sight and therefore God says in Deuteronomy 1:32, "Yet in this thing you did not believe the LORD your God."

The bottom line is this, they did not believe God. They believe their eyes, they believe what they saw and therefore they were plunged into discouragements and fears. My friends, don't believe what your eyes see if it contradicts what God says. Walk by faith and not by sight, believe God, believe His word. There is more than meets the eye. God bless.
