New Zealand National Film Unit presents Pictorial Parade Special: Pumicelands, (1954)
This story of twentieth century pioneering tells of the volcanic wastelands lying in the heart of New Zealand's North Island, and of how they lay idle for many years until modern techniques of large-scale land development were applied.
