Eight man Magpies crumble after pitch invasion
The Hawks came from behind to beat Dorchester Town 3-1 at Westleigh Park tonight after a surreal second half moment turned the closely matched game on its head.
Steve Devlin's superb 25 yard dipping drive put the visitors in pole position in the 9th minute, and it took the Hawks until the hour mark and an equally adept shot in off the post by Mustafa Tiryaki to equalise.
But when Ashley Vickers was bizarrely dismissed with a straight red after bringing down a mankini wearing streaker 70 minutes in, Dorchester's composure fell apart.
Wes Fogden put the Hawks ahead six minutes later when he slammed home the rebound after Dan Thomas spilled Steve Ramsey's long range effort, and before Ramsey himself scored the third in injury time the Magpies saw Jake Smeeton sent off for body checking Guiseppe Sole in a rash challenge and Kyle Critchell for voicing his opinion to the man in black in the aftermath.
