Based upon standard Roman Catholic Theology, particularly that which pertains to the establishment and authority of Christ's own Church, as documented in the standard Theological handbook, Dogmatic Theology, Volume 2, Christ's Church, by Msgr. G. Van Noort Part 2: Book's Introduction, pages xxv - xxvii. Church Suffering and Church Triumphant acknowledged but are not part of this book's consideration, which is that of the Church Militant only. A broad sense of the Church is acknowledged but only in the sense of that which was inaugurated at the first Pentecost with the giving of the Holy Ghost nine days after the Ascension of Christ. (Griff comments: Also to be noted that by "broad" sense, Van Noort did not include any or all "persons of good will" or nice people or Bible readers or whatever, but only that which preceded the Church of the Gospel, namely the Mosaic Law in effect up to that point and the various previous covenants to the Patriarchs and other individuals, clear back to Adam.)
