When Roger Waters started his new live tour of The Wall album, I was excited to hear that he'd been going through vocal coaching. However, upon seeing different videos of the shows on YouTube, I'd suspected that he was using tapes again, like he has in the past. So I took audio of two different performances of In the Flesh?, panned one to the left and the other to the right and was disappointed to confirm that he was lipsyncing.

To be honest, this knowledge did not detract from my enjoyment when I got to see him live. However, for those paying thousands for seats up front, this might be a bit of an issue. Please, I want a discussion about whether you think it's okay for artists to be miming during live performances.

For those of you wondering, Roger Waters still has it in him and can still sing this song on his own. Please refer to his performance of this song on Jimmy Fallon with the Foo Fighters:

Is he just being lazy?
