Recovery Act funds are allowing Department of Energy contractor Washington Closure Hanford to install equipment in the ground that will allow workers to take readings on radioactive waste buried during the Cold War. The information will help the Department of Energy plan removal of the waste from one of the most challenging burial grounds on the Hanford Site.
